Cigars are considered to be more natural tobacco products than for instance regular cigarettes. Smoking a cigar is a real delicacy and pleasure. If you are a beginner in this field, the presented below tips will help you enjoy your cigar. Make sure you follow these steps and an unforgettable smoking experience is guaranteed:

  • Prepare the cigar. Check if the cigar is properly cut, a special cigar cutter would help greatly. However if you do no have one, any kind of blade is appropriate, just make sure that it is sharp. The easiest method to cut a cigar is to bite the tip off.
  • Take off the ring wrapper. However some cigar smokers prefer to leave it until the heat from the smoking cigar softens the glue and the wrapper falls by its own accord. P.S. Remember, that it is considered impolite to display the brand of the cigar you are smoking by leaving the label on.
  • Light the cigar. Wooden matches are more preferable as they do not affect the taste of the cigar. If you give preference to matches, wait until they sulfur burns off, hold the flame up to the end and inhale in order to draw the flame to the tip, but do not inhale the smoke. If necessary rotate the cigar around in order to make sure that the whole tip is lit. In order to see if the cigar is fully lit, turn the lit end and softly blow on it, the lit part will become orange.
  • Smoke the cigar. Take the cigar and drawn in the smoke, keep it in your mouth for a few seconds to enjoy its taste, and then let it go. Usually it is not advised to inhale cigar smoke.
  • Repeat the step 4 for 1-3 times until you finish smoking it. Please note that cigars can last for more than three hours. Rotate the cigar from time to time in order to assure that all sides of the cigar are lit.
  • Extinguish it when finishing just put it aside in the ashtray. The cigar will extinguish itself in a few minutes without puffing. Before you set it down slowly blow the cigar to shake off any smoke. After an hour, the cigar will emit a strong flavor. Already after relighting it you will feel a stronger taste that is why many smokers prefer to throw the cigar after the first smoking process.
